Rapid-acting skin antiseptic — alcohol-based skin disinfection for injections, lines and incision sites, with a residual effect that keeps working after it dries.

Fast-drying with no visible residue, and tolerated well enough for repeated use on the same skin.
Composition
Each 100 g contains Isopropanol 63.0 g and Benzalkonium Chloride 0.025 g. The benzalkonium chloride is what gives the lasting protection after the alcohol has flashed off.
Active against
Bacteria — Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Enterococcus hirae, Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, MRSA, EHEC strains. Fungi — Candida albicans. Viruses — enveloped: HBV, HCV, Herpes, SARS-CoV; non-enveloped: Rotavirus.

How this differs from the others we stock
This is an alcohol antiseptic for skin. It is not a chlorhexidine prep and not a surface disinfectant — if you want CHG on patient skin use Mirex, and for trolleys and theatre surfaces use Inviro or Mirey.
