AAMI Level 4 fully reinforced surgical gown — the highest barrier level, for long fluid-heavy surgery and any case where pathogen resistance is required. Maira Fully Reinforced adds an impervious 30 GSM film laminated over the critical zone, and is also made as a wraparound.
The film is what makes it Level 4 — fabric reinforcement alone (Level 3) will wet through in a long case. If the surgeon complains of heat in long cases, look at Supreme instead: same Level 4, breathable viral barrier.
Which AAMI level do you actually need
AAMI PB70 grades a gown by how much fluid it keeps out. Buy the level the case needs, not the level the budget likes.

All four levels are stocked. Reinforced means an extra fabric panel across the chest and sleeves; fully reinforced laminates an impervious film over that critical zone; wraparound versions overlap and fasten at the back, so the surgeon is still covered when they turn away from the field.

One thing hospitals get wrong: sizing. A Level 4 gown that will not close on the surgeon is not a Level 4 gown. Ask us for one sample in the size you think you need before you commit to a carton — we would rather send a sample than take back a wrong order.
