Polypropylene hernia mesh — non-absorbable, knitted, for permanent reinforcement of the abdominal wall. Filaprop Mesh is the standard polypropylene in Meril's hernia range: strong, durable, and it holds consistent strength over time.
This is the workhorse mesh, and the one in the Meril Hernia Kit alongside a Filaprop suture — if you are buying both, ask us for the kit.
Where it is used
- Inguinal hernia repair, open and laparoscopic
- Ventral and incisional repair — the larger sheets are cut to the defect
- Soft-tissue reinforcement where the repair must be permanent

Every one of those is stocked, in the same sheet sizes. If the surgeon asked for a mesh by a brand name we do not carry, tell us the material and the size and we will show you the equivalent.
