AAMI Level 4 breathable viral barrier gown — Level 4 protection that still lets heat out. Maira Supreme is 51 GSM BVB (breathable viral barrier) fabric, and is also made as a wraparound.
This is the gown for the long case. Film-laminated Level 4 gowns hold heat, and a surgeon who is overheating four hours in is a real problem in an Indian theatre. Supreme keeps the Level 4 barrier and breathes.
Which AAMI level do you actually need
AAMI PB70 grades a gown by how much fluid it keeps out. Buy the level the case needs, not the level the budget likes.

| Level 2 | Low fluid. Minor procedures, suturing, pathology |
| Level 3 | Moderate fluid. Trauma, emergency, arterial line, most general surgery |
| Level 4 | Highest. Long fluid-heavy surgery, and where pathogen resistance is required |
All four levels are stocked. Reinforced means an extra fabric panel across the chest and sleeves; fully reinforced laminates an impervious film over that critical zone; wraparound versions overlap and fasten at the back, so the surgeon is still covered when they turn away from the field.

One thing hospitals get wrong: sizing. A Level 4 gown that will not close on the surgeon is not a Level 4 gown. Ask us for one sample in the size you think you need before you commit to a carton — we would rather send a sample than take back a wrong order.
